HEGEMONY
I never knew the word until I heard Angela Davis speak,
About a dominant culture that keeps the common man voicless and weak
They use a kaleidospic lure to convince us the courts and politicians are fair just and pure.
Arbitrary is a tool they use to make it all seem normal. They mold our minds with tinsel grins and cups of coffee; using jargon that’s seemingly informal. They have no interest in the common man, but needs his consent to carry out their plan of maintaining control. Like an epidemic disease owned by nobody, but infects every single one, they quietly neutralize our rational lobes and your never know when the job is being done. It appears ordinary, benign or maybe we just can’t see; our lobes being quietly manipulated to ignore contradictions completely. Nobody can oppose them because plan B is stronger; they come out of darkness and their target will exist no longer. Hegemony controls the context in what we think we know; only their perspective of truth will ebb and flow. I’ve always known the unfairness in the air. Everybody can feel it, but you just don’t know from where. Now I have a word to articulate and describe
What’s unfairly permitted and unfairly denied.
